Assignment 3.

Response to "The Kitchen of Meaning" by Roland Barthes:
Barthes explains how everything, texts, ojbects, images, music, etc all have meanings and signs within them without us realizing it. There is always a sign and a message when you see something, for example, a expensive car shows us that the owner of the car is rich/has money, on the other hand if you were to read a passage or a book, you would find a meaning that you learn, also meanings within the text that you are reading. If you were to hear a song, you would find a meaning to it in the end. All of us are so used to the way we view things, it doesn't occur to us to look beyond our thinking. Meanings of things dont just come to us, it takes time to observe and understand why it's the meaning and how. As we grow older, we are expanding our thinking.
